Merge PDF files

Combine any number of PDFs into a single document, in the order you choose — entirely in your browser, with no upload and no quality loss.

How it works

  1. Add your PDFs. Drop several files at once, or add them in batches — each file shows its page count.
  2. Set the order. Use the up and down arrows to arrange the documents; the merged file follows this order.
  3. Merge and download. One click produces the combined PDF, which downloads straight from your browser.

Merging without handing over your documents

Most “free PDF merger” sites are thin front ends over a server: your file is uploaded, processed remotely and stored for some period you have to take on trust. That is a poor trade for contracts, invoices, medical records or anything under NDA.

This tool copies page objects between documents locally, using the same approach a desktop PDF library would. Because pages are copied rather than re-rendered, the result is lossless: selectable text stays selectable, and a 300 dpi scan is still 300 dpi.

Tips for a clean merged document

Name your files so alphabetical order matches the reading order, then verify with the arrows before merging. If a source document has extra pages you do not want, run it through the PDF splitter first and merge the extract instead. To assemble a PDF out of photos or scans, start from JPG to PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Is merging PDFs here really private?

Yes. The documents are read into your browser’s memory and combined locally — no upload request is ever made. You can verify this in your browser’s network tab.

How many PDFs can I merge at once?

There is no fixed limit. Dozens of documents and hundreds of pages merge fine; the only ceiling is your device’s available memory.

Does merging reduce quality or break text?

No. Pages are copied as-is, so text stays selectable and searchable, images keep their resolution, and vector graphics stay vector.

Can I change the order of the documents?

Yes — use the arrows next to each file to move it earlier or later before merging. The output follows the list order exactly.

Can I merge PDFs with different page sizes?

Yes. Each page keeps its original dimensions and orientation, so an A4 document and a landscape Letter document can share one PDF without either page being resized.
